Massachusetts mosquito control

Don't bug out! There are plenty of ways to keep mosquitoes away from you and your family this summer that don't involve you simply swatting at them. Here's the buzz on the top 3 tips for Massachusetts mosquito control, offered by your friends at Burgess Pest Management.massachusetts mosquito control

1- No one likes to clean their gutters, but did you know that this is one of the most common spots for mosquitoes to breed? By cleaning debris from your gutters, you're removing one of the most common harborage areas that allows mosquitoes to multiply.

2- Scratching your head wondering where they're breeding? Mosquitoes need standing water to breed! If you have a kiddie pool or kids toys laying around, clean out the water often and make sure water isn't pooling underneath. If you have dense foliage and bushes, trim back the branches to allow natural light in.

3- If you use repellent, make the right selection. The CDC recommends using an EPA-registered insect repellent which contains DEET, Picaridin, oil of lemon or eucalyptus, or IR3535.
